Directors Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff decided to change the film’s original opening scene, a dialogue introducing most of the main characters, after listening to the final version of ‘The Circle of Life.’ The ‘Circle of Life’ opening was so powerful, it was used as the trailer and was the first time Disney used a complete scene as a trailer.
