Believe it or not, serving ice cream in a waffle cone occurred merely by accident! At the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis, Missouri, an ice cream vendor ran out of cones and together with the neighboring waffle vendor, began molding waffles into cones. Needless to say, it was a hit!
